Attaching new Rebounder’s to a planter with worn disc and wear guards OR when planting 2 - 3” deep with new discs.
If you are mounting a new Rebounder on any planter that has worn discs or with new discs when planting more than 2” deep. The seed V will narrow the deeper you plant. You will need to shave and grind the Rebounder down slightly on both sides of the spoon part. A new Rebounder measures 1 1/2” at the widest part of the spoon (see fig. (a)). If you do not do this the Rebounder will ride up and on top of the seed V. It is important to remember that new discs and wear guards on a planter make a 1 1/2” seed V opening for the Rebounder to follow in. However worn discs and wear guards do not make as wide of an opening so the compensation must be made on the Rebounder for proper seed depth placement.
Modifications to the Rebounder
- fig. (a) displays the width of a new Rebounder. Grind off 1/8” on both sides of the Rebounder if discs measures 14 3/4”.
